04Formalities

There is a number of legal requirements you need to fulfil in order to be legal in Germany and ignorance is no excuse. All the trouble you can get into is very easy to avoid.

• Registration at the Town Hall (City Registration)
• Work Permit
• Tax card/number
• Opening a bank account with a credit/debit card
• Medical Insurance, Personal Liability Insurance, House Insurance ect.
• German driving licence, all issues connected with driving in Germany
• Registration of imported cars
